Is the hotel close to sites?
Surfer’s Point breaks directly in front of the apartments, and Zed’s Surfing Adventures runs lessons and board hire on the same break. Silver Sands, the nearest swimming beach and the centre of kitesurfing in Barbados, is about a mile away. Coco Hill Forest, our own fruit forest inland, is a short drive. Grantley Adams International Airport is 4.3 miles away, about fifteen minutes.
How far is the nearest swimming beach?

Buffy’s, the local supermarket, is within walking distance of the apartments, so a self catering stay does not start with a car hire.
What transportation options
Grantley Adams International Airport is about fifteen minutes away by taxi or hire car. Most guests staying a week or more hire a car, which makes the rest of the island easy. Guests staying put need one less than they expect, because the surf, Mamu’s Café and Buffy’s supermarket are all reachable on foot.
How many apartments are there?
Ocean Spray has twenty five apartments, from studios sleeping two to a three bedroom sleeping six across two bathrooms.
How to move around
The surf break, Mamu’s Café and Buffy’s supermarket are all within walking distance of the apartments. For Silver Sands, Oistins and the rest of the island, guests use a hire car or a taxi.
How far is Ocean Spray from the airport?
Grantley Adams International Airport is 4.3 miles from Ocean Spray Apartments, about fifteen minutes by road. It is closer than almost anywhere else on the south coast.
Is there a swimmable beach at Ocean Spray?
The water directly in front of Ocean Spray is Surfer’s Point, which is a surf break rather than a swimming beach. Silver Sands, about a mile away, is the nearest swimming beach.
Do the apartments have air conditioning?
Yes. Every apartment at Ocean Spray is air conditioned.
Do the apartments have a kitchen?
Yes. Every apartment is self catering with a full kitchen, so guests cook when they want and eat at Mamu’s Café when they do not.
Is there a minimum stay for long stays?
Long stays run from one month. Through the low season, which runs August to November, long stays are 40% off.
Do you offer day passes?
Yes. Day passes are available at Ocean Spray Apartments. Contact us for what a day pass includes and the current rate.
Is there food on site?
Yes. Mamu’s Café serves breakfast, lunch and grill nights in the garden, with salads grown at Coco Hill Forest, our fruit forest inland.
